Growing closer to GOD
Many people know about God yet still feel distant from Him, quietly wondering if they’re the only ones who feel that way.
Not because they don’t care, but because something hasn’t fully connected.
They’ve heard the messages, read Scripture, and understand what they’re supposed to believe. But internally, there’s still a gap between what they know and what they actually experience.
Because knowing about God can inform your mind with truth, it was never meant to stay there alone. It is meant to become something more, a real, personal relationship that reaches the deeper parts of your soul.
This relationship is not built solely on knowledge. It is something lived, experienced, and developed over time
But that kind of relationship doesn’t begin where everything looks right. It begins where things are honest.
In the questions you don’t say out loud, the doubts you try to ignore, and the quiet sense that there has to be more.
Those moments aren’t signs of failure. They’re often where a real relationship begins.
Because God meets you in truth, not in perfection.
Not in a polished version of who you think you should be, but in who you actually are.
One of the biggest misconceptions is that you have to fix yourself before coming to God. But growth doesn’t start with perfection; it starts with surrender.
It begins when you stop trying to clean yourself up enough to be accepted and instead come as you are, willing to be known.
Over time, those small, consistent moments, praying, reading, reflecting- begin to shift something within you. Not always immediately, but steadily.
The distance starts to close.
What once felt unfamiliar becomes natural.
What once felt forced becomes genuine.
What once felt distant begins to feel closer than you expected.
And somewhere along the way, you begin to realize something important:
This was never about doing more to reach God. It was about allowing Him to meet you where you are.
Growing closer to God isn’t about pressure or performance. It’s about relationship. A real ongoing connection that shapes how you think, how you live, and how you walk through life.
It simply requires your willingness to show up, to be honest, stay open, and keep seeking, even when it feels small.
Because you were never meant to live at a distance from God.
You were created for something deeper.
And even in the moments where you feel unsure or distant. The invitation to come closer is always there.
