I was raised in the church. I heard the Word. I thought I understood. But internally, I was lost. I didn't know who I was, what my purpose was, or how to live out what I thought I believed.

Eventually, I walked away from both the church and God. But even while trying to figure life out on my own, there came a point when the lights went out, and I found myself struggling internally. There was a heaviness and darkness I couldn’t outrun or shake. I felt hopeless and began losing the desire to keep going. Out of desperation, I cried out four simple words:

“God, I need You.”

That was the moment my life shifted. It felt like GOD left the 99 just for the one..ME and radically changed my life. What started as desperation became transformation, and I finally began to understand who GOD is and, in that, who I AM.

But as I navigated life, healing, growth, and my relationship with GOD, I realized how deeply I longed for genuine community, and I knew I wasn’t the only one searching for connection, support, and a place to truly belong.

That is why Teachable Disciples was created.

What I initially thought was just an idea became clear: this was one of the things GOD had CALLED me to do.
